The Car Shows

Forward Cab Jeeps are always a treat

There were High Hopes for the FC Jeep series, when introduced in 1956 but sales were sparse..
In 1957 four factories were retooled because of huge orders from the military for an all terrain vehicle that could drive through swamps and rice patties.. (the fc-170 was born)
The Fc-150 got a wider wheel track and became the fc-160. Soon there were FC180's and FC-190's

There apparently there were few FC150's produced in the US in 1957.
Left over 1956 were sold as 1957's.
Coke a cola bought a six pack...

So the reality is the 1956 and 1957 FC-150's are the prototypes for the entire line...
1958...

1959 - 1963

Some have survived retrofitted with modern V-8's. Ford V-8's with C4 transmission are popular choice
But you have to keep in mind these are trucks and were not engineered to go over 50 - 55 mph..
