The Post office fix

Save the post Office, Like Social Security, every 12 years so someone gets worried about the Post Office going broke,
every time just before it disappears forever, Congress throws a couple million dollars at them and saves the day, our elected Heroes...
The answer to this problem is so easy, that no one in Congress would ever think of it.

Raise the postage rate to a dollar, even for the junk mail. Boo hoo less junk mail.
Everything costs a dollar now days anyway, why wouldn't sending an envelope across
the country or across town be worth a buck? Secondly release the Post office completely from the government,
they already have direct competition with Fed Ex UPS and others...
Give them a couple years without Federal bureaucracy, they can either sink or swim.
Bottom line this is one service the government doesn't have to supply let capitalism prevail.
